Okay, so I've had this crap in my head for the longest time. It was written down at last thanks to a dear friend of mine and now it's been sitting alone in my notebook. It's time to shaaaaaaare. <3

Dislikes: Gryph, his family, most everything else
Distinctive Features: Must wear gloves at all times; wingspots are always uncovered; delicate pointed ears
Habits: Pyromaniac, fire relaxes him.
Relatives: Father: Unknown (Not of his kind, never married Mei Hui)

Mother: Mei Hui (Matriarch of the Firabyrd Clan; stern and firm; proud and cold; ambitious)

History
Phoenix was born to Mei Hui, the matriarch of the Firabyrds, as a result oof an act of rebellion towards her father when he had ruled the clan. Phoenix's father is unknown, but is of a species different than those of the Byrd clans. Mei Hui became matriarch six months after Phoenix's birth. She staged a coup against her father's rule, and took control of the clan through tyrannical, dictatorial means. Phoenix was well-loved by his mother over the first year of his life, after which he became an Outcast. He was not born with wingspots; they grew on his skin after a short period of illness, marking him as an Outcast. He was therefore raised as a weapon. Mei Hui chose a mate shortly after the coup and had other children over the years. She discouraged them from having affection for one another to protect herself from possible future rebellion, and encouraged hate toward Phoenix. As a result, Phoenix hates his family and is inherently distrustful of others. Mei Hui's attempts to raise him without emotion failed, and he repeatedly attempted to run away. Each time he was caught, brought back, and punished. At around the age of 14, he ran away and was hiding from the soldiers, when he was discovered by Sylph, who promptly took him home. He became friends with Sylph over the next several years, after which the story takes place.
Personality
Phoenix has a very firey personality, though it does sound a bit cliche. He does everything passionately, whether it's fighting for his life or experiences the joys in life. He often looks like a wounded animal, lashing out at people even if they're only trying to help. Naturally distrustful, the only person he's ever reached out to for help was Sylph. He's brilliantly loyal to and fiercely possessive of who he considers as 'his'. Without any proper social experience, he's very awkward to talk to and often becomes angry when uncomfortable or confused. He tries hard to be a leader and can't take orders well, but he's fairly lost without someone to point him in the right direction.

9) He prefers to stay on the ground, rather than fly. Even if it meant walking for hours and hours. Not quite a fear of heights, but close.
10) He never had the opportunity to get any piercings but would pierce his ears in a heartbeat.
